Jointly Sponsored by Success Attitude Development Centre (SADC) and SuccessDigest in August 2008

Success Attitude Development Centre (SADC), in the process of meeting up with their promises to Nigerians, when they launched the Successful Entrepreneurs Network (SEN), organized a three-week Basic Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship (BCCE).

The whole idea of establishing and instituting the Basic Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship is to reward the Successful Entrepreneurs Networker and, to fulfill the SADC mandate of raising successful entrepreneurs whose success in business is driven by the fear of God

The number of people enrolled for the pilot programme passed through a standard test to qualify for the training.

The programme which took place in August, 2008 had fifty people on full scholarship with accommodation, feeding and tuition fully paid for by SADC; another set of fifty people were given partial scholarship with free tuition, amongst others.

The course provided the attendees with ideas, strategies, facts, figures and “how to” guidelines and examples. In fact, they were equipped with everything an entrepreneur needs to succeed in any type of business.

Here are some of the things they learned during the 3 week training:

  • How to discover potential money-making ideas
  • How to obtain the financing you need
  • How to create an effective marketing and sales plan
  • How to carry out key accounting and record keeping tasks ‘
  • How to manage all aspects of an ongoing business
  • How to acquire customers and keep them coming back for more and increasing the size of their transaction for as long as they live
  • How to checkmate competitors and turn them into competitors
  • How to build a well-knit family along with building a successful business
  • How to rely on God as the ONLY Source for wealth empowerment (Deuteronomy 8:18)
  • Plus, they were guided through the complete business start-up process, what to do and what to watch out for.

The resource persons who came from within and outside our organization, took the attendees through the 5 solid pillars of entrepreneurship:

  1. Idea, the starting point of all true riches.
  2. Taking your idea to the marketplace.
  3. Launching and marketing the business for profitability.
  4. Expanding that business idea that is already bringing in money
  5. Cultivating the habits of highly effective and successful business empire builders.

At the end of the 3 week Basic Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship, the participants who became SENPRENEURS were equipped with scores of checklists, illustrations, work sheets, and forms that they could immediately put to use in their business and have answers and solutions to all the toughest questions and problems involved with managing a business.

The first set of SENPRENEURS graduated on Saturday, August 23, 2008, having passed the required examinations and projects.

They have been impacting others with the knowledge they gained at this life-transforming institute, Success Attitude Development Center. BCCE GRADUATION

BCCE GRADUATION

The first set of graduates of SADC Basic Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship stepped out of the classroom and marched confidently into the marketplace on Saturday, August 23, 2008, fully equipped to stake their claim to the territory that belongs to them, and takes possession of it.

Fortified with the basic knowledge and tools, the SENpreneurs approach entrepreneurship from non-traditional ways:

  • Finding customers first before serving them exactly what they want.
  • Creating value and then adding that value to their patrons, with a long-term goal of becoming their trusted advisors and winning their hearts without hurting their purse as many traditional businesses do.
  • Recognizing God as their only Source and are prepared to willingly and obediently follow His leading until they become a force that no one can push around in the marketplace.
  • Doing business by the book — according to the Word of God.
  • Keeping promises and reducing the risk of doing business. For example, if you buy a product from a SENpreneur and you over-pay him, you would be tracked down and have the excess money paid back to you. You also do not run the risk of ending up with a product or service that you are not absolutely satisfied with.

Why? Because, whatever you buy from a SENpreneur is backed by an irrevocable, iron-clad money back guarantee.

DRAMA PRESENTATION

BCCE AWARD SECTION

TESTIMONIALS: WHAT THE SENPRENEURS SAID

This training has been so revealing, in fact, I’ve been looking out for where I can get such business training to develop myself with, been an artist. I now know many things about running a business that I didn’t know before. I’m taking away a lot of things away from this rare opportunity. I have a number of business ideas that I have been operating partially for fear that they may fail. This training has helped me to fine tune them.

When I get back home I will prepare my business plan as we have been taught and start up my business fully.”

 – Pastor Akinyemi Emmanuel, Ilorin –  Kwara State.

This training has been an eye opener for us. For four years now we have been doing our business sub-standardly in terms of record keeping, etc.

We are going back to take our business to another level entirely.”

Michael Essien, Port Harcourt – Rivers State.

“To me I have learnt a lot of things at this training. It’s been awesome; in fact, none of us at this programme has any excuse to fail any more in business and in life. For example, before now one aspect of my business I used to dread is rejection – I hated it when my service is rejected. But now I have learnt in this training how I can effectively position myself to be able to eventually win a client over even if that client had someone else already offering them the service.”

-IfeoIwa Oyedumade, Lagos.

“This course has shown me the absolute need and necessity to carry my wife along in everything I do. We’ve always worked together as a couple, but this occasion has brought out certain salient facts that I did not take cognisance of before now. For instance, before I will say I look at my wife with the two visions, as Dr. Obazu-Ojeagbase would say, that every other person looks at her. But now I have learnt that I should only look at my wife with only one vision, and that is the positive vision, and that way I will bring out the best in her and we will have the best of relationship. We’ve been twenty years old in marriage, but now I’m a brand new husband.”

Prince Vidal Wachukwu, Abuja.

“This course is a complete package, nothing is left out. From your spiritual, family and business life, everything is touched. I will like to tell other people in the network that are not here to try and work harder so they could be in the next batch, and I will also advice that if you made the training and your spouse did not, it will be more than worth it to pay for him or her to join you. It will do you a lot of good – it will be like starting life afresh!”

– Mrs. Christine Wachukwu, Abuja.

I didn’t expect the course to be this rich and encompassing. It has revealed to me how disorganized I’ve been running my business without keeping records, etc. The teachings on the spiritual angle and integrity to business success have really been a blessing to me personally. Even in the area of accommodation. Before coming I was telling my husband I didn’t want to stay, in a filthy hotel, but he assured me not to worry, that our “Daddy” loves good-things. And here we are, true to that, everything has been excellent. I bless God for the life of our “Daddy and Mummy”, Dr. and Pastor (Mrs.) Sunny and Esther Ojeagbase, for instituting this course.”

– Mrs. Joy Salau, Port Harcourt – Rivers State.

“This training has been wonderful and down-to-earth practical. A lot of things have been exposed to us such that even if you are already in business it will seem as if you have not started. And for those who have not started a business hints have been given _on how to start and succeed in business.”

– Alaba Oduse, Bauchi State.

“l have been in business for some time now, but this training has actually opened my eyes to see how bad I’ve been running my business like a blind man groping in the darkness thinking he is in the world I didn’t keep record, I didn’t pay my tithe regularly, etc. These slowed down my progress and I didn’t know. There are so many things I’ve learnt here,” it’s like starting a new life in business. Also I can now see why I should involve my wife in my business.”

– Sani M. John, Jos – Plateau State.

“This training is an eye opener to me, and also especially to those of us that have been doing and struggling with business on part time. We have learnt now that if we do certain little things consistently and persistently over period of time, we would see result. I have equally learnt that if I must be a successful business man I have to take marketing as number one priority.”

– Matthew David Udofot, Ikot Abasi – Akwa.Ibom.

“Every aspect of the programme has struck me. I’ve been overwhelmed with the accommodation, the feeding and the training itself. I have, now known the right way to do business. Though I’ve been in business for many years, I’ve lacked the fundamental things of running a business successfully, which we are being thought here. So, I’ll be going back to apply these new knowledge, which will bring me to the level God has destined for me.”

– Pastor Damion  Innocent, Lagos.

This programme is amazing. Right from the rousing welcome we got at the arrival for the training, to the hotel we were taken to and then given an envelope containing money for our transportation, it’s awesome. As for the training itself, I cannot quantify what I’ve gained so far. lf l am asked to pay N100, 000 for the course it will still be an underestimation, when you consider the caliber of people taking us. I see all I’m being taught in this program as God’s doing to help me to be able to successfully disengage from the public service to my own business.

– Akorede Zakariyyah, Ilorin – Kwara State.

“It’s been wonderful to be part of this training. It has brought a transformation to my life and positioned me for greater things ahead. I’ve learnt the concept of writing business plan and the essence of it. I have also learned another wonderful thing here, which is going to the customer as the foundation of my market, which has never been so in the timber industry where l operate.”

– Tunde Ayenitanju, Lagos.
