“Sex Outside Marriage Isn’t The Most Serious Sin” – Pope Francis Age, Wife, Biography, Facts & More

Leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, has averred that sex outside marriage isn’t the most serious sin.

The Pope stated this during a question and answer session with reporters on a flight back to Italy from Greece on Monday, December 6th.

He was asked about the Archbishop of Paris, Michel Aupetit, who resigned last week over an “ambiguous” relationship with a woman, and in response, the pope noted that the sins of the flesh are not the most serious.

According to him, pride and hatred are the most serious of sins.

In other news, Pope Francis recently voiced his support for same-sex civil unions in a documentary that debuted in Rome.

Speaking about pastoral outreach and care for people who identify as LGBTQ, the pontiff said that he thinks same-sex couples should be allowed to have “civil unions”.

His comments in the documentary directed by Evgeny Afineevsky has been described by observers as his clearest remarks yet on gay relationships.

“Homosexual people have a right to be in a family,” Pope Francis said in the documentary. They are children of God and have a right to a family. Nobody should be thrown out or made miserable over it. What we have to create is a civil union law. That way they are legally covered.” He said.
